This tip is to help organize your songs. How many times have you made a file only to have to search for its location later, especially when you have not needed it for a while? Here is an easy way to solve this problem. Create a folder named "Songs"

place this folder on your desktop for easy access, so you can easily go to the folder to drag files to a flash drive; SD card or into other programs for easy transferring.

When you create a song: Use the Save As function/then go to the folder named "Songs"

Next create a new folder inside the "Songs" folder with your songs title I will call this one "Blue Boy."

Click inside the "Blue Boy" folder then save the song.

Inside the Blue Boy folder save all files associated with the song, whether audio, document (such as lyric and lead sheets)
Band in a Box, Real Band or other program.

Make a new folder inside the "Songs" folder for each song you do.

This way All you have to do is go to your songs file and look for the song you need and all of the files are in one place.

If you produce songs for other people put a "*" in front of the customers name "*Jane Doe" that way all of the customers songs are at the top in alphabetical order, you can replace the * with a number to keep a customer count "1 Jane Doe" etc.

If you want to keep track of year by year just name the "Songs" folder with the year in the date, "Songs 2014 etc.

I hope this helps!
