Hey, Sax1. Some additional information would be helpful in making a recommendation. Things like number of inputs, sample rate, MIDI I/O, and anything else about how you work or what you need.
For my part, I have Win 7 Ultimate. Since my perfectly good TASCAM US-224 interface and control surface wouldn't work with 7, I went with a PreSonus AudioBox USB. It's a basic, rugged 2 x 2 with MIDI. It only samples to 24/48, but all I need is 16/44.1, so no biggie. There are several bundles available that make this an attractive deal. Your mileage, of course, may vary.
