A large monitor is not always the solution, if yoru eyesight is not good and you like the monitor close to you, then having a widescreen monitor will only mean that you have to keep turning your head from left to right to take in the whole screen size.

I have a 22 inch LG monitor but the way that suits me is to have the screen in a more or less 4:3 configuration so there are blank areas at both left and right sides of screen.

Suits me.
