Just asking because I don't use RB as my DAW.... can you use plugin FX in RB? (track by track)

In Sonar, which I do use to mix, I don't use anything in the tracks there for tone control other than the FX plugins. I use the "essentials" version of Sonar and I think the flagship X3 full version does have tone in the channel strips. Come to think about it, there is a graphic/Parametric EQ in the channels in essentials but I never use it.

Funny.... because I never use the tone controls in BB either..... all tone is shaped in Sonar with FX plugs but only if it's needed.

Let me "splain" why..... I like the waves to be totally flat and un-effected when they get to Sonar. I can not un-do what may have been added previously in another program IF for some reason the EQ or whatever is "off" and disruptive to the final mix. If I've scooped something out or hi/lo passed something in BB/RB I then have to try to use FX to add it back if it's needed.... so rather then hit the FX button twice... I simply send them flat to Sonar. That way, I can use EQ one time to make things sound right for the final mix.
