If there were separate real drums
(real bassdrum, realsnare, realtom, realhihat etc) you could build the parts together in interesting ways, but still have the option to control and add effects to the parts individually

Since there is a tutorial floating out there to make your own RDs this is very doable i suppose.
HP Win 11 12 gig ram, Mac mini with 16 gig of ram, BiaB 2025, Realband, Reaper 7, Harrison Mixbus 9 32c , Melodyne 5 editor, Presonus Audiobox 1818VSL, Presonus control app.

You don't have to wait for PG Music to release the individual drum hits for you, there are tons of drum sample packs floating around the internet... I have about 20 gigs of individual drum hits in my sample library.
I lay out my beats with Reason, but to do this in RealBand, you'd probably just have to put together a kit in a drum machine plugin, like Battery, and write your patterns out with MIDI. Loads of fun.

Not the same thing. That wouldn't be a RD part. The beauty of RD is that there samples of whole phrases up to 8 bars long with all of the nuances that the drumme played.
That said it would be easy for PG to do this as I'm sure for the original recordings of the drummers they used muti tracking. They'de just need to break out the parts. The drum file folder would be humongous though. Think about it!

In this type of recording, bleedover of other drums onto the hihat mic for instance, would make the 'samples' not very clean. If a snare hit has the overtone of a cymbal behind it, it will make the snare very 'unreal'. The beauty of realdrums is in their construction as a mix.
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

My thoughts were more on using say Nashville EV 8 . I'm sure they miked everything separately so they could create the final mix. I would just like to be able to use Nashville Ev 8 in it's individual form.
This method would not work if your goal was to mix and match instruments from different RD tracks.
