Hi ovation99.

In addition to Dan's approach, it's also possible to use the Soloist generator to generate specific solos over a region of bars. This works for both Realtracks and midi.

To do this using Realtracks...

1. Click on the yellow "S" and select the lower option that opens the Soloist dialogue box.

2. Filter the display to show only Realtracks by clicking the button labeled "1" below. Select a Realtrack.

3. Click on the "Custom" button.

4. When the next dialogue box opens, enter the bar at which you want the solo to start (#1); which chorus it applies to (#2); and how many bars you'd like it to play for (#3).

It might also pay to uncheck the 'extra beat' option (#4) and then generate the solo (#5).

5. Now repeat the above using the second solo instrument and a different range of bars.

The solo that you create will save when you save the song. It's also possible to freeze the Soloist track as a safeguard for keeping the solo.

All the best,
Noel
