I have almost finished a song I wanted to try (Past the Point of Rescue) and in constructing the song I thought it would be helpful is I could change the background colours of the bars to indicate where the song changes to verse/chorus/ solo etc.
The only half hearted indication at the moment would be the variation A/B which isn't really that helpful.
I find it can be quite confusing in constructing a song, especially when copying and pasting.
Can this be added as an option?

A great place to add the option would be the song structure window. That way when you are assigning the to & from measures for section you could also select the color for each section.
Taking the idea a step further, wouldn't it be nice to be able to have the option to rename sections so you could call section A "Intro", section B " Bridge 1", section C "Verse" and so on?

The color thing would not be appropriate for those of use totally or partially color blind.
