Did you install the VSC-DXi softsynth that comes with BIAB/RealBand? If so, you will definitely get those shutdown errors with both programs in Vista. While the VSC-DXi works in Vista and you can [presumably] safely ignore those errors, there are some compatibility issues.
If you did install the VSC-DXi, try uninstalling it and see if the problem goes away. The Forte DXi softsynth doesn't have this problem, but after the trial period, you have to buy it to keep using it (but at $40, I think it's a bargain).

This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
