Something new from IK. Looks very interesting (to me) - YMMV. And inexpensive.

the sound examples sound good.

Sweetwater doesn't have them yet, but mine is already pre-ordered. This would work well live and in the studio. $49? No Brainer (which is right up my alley). grin

I'm not a guitarist, but this looks pretty flippin' cool to me. Of course, that's a drummers opinion. Shiny objects have a similar effect on me. crazy

thanks for the share of this!

Looks like a good tool to have. I put it on my Christmas list.

Santa might be a bit late this year, Mario. He started celebrating early. grin

Not anymore, my kids are all adults! Or at least they think that they are adults!

It's funny, this has been on the Larrivée guitars forum for the past couple of days and most of the responses are derision. I think it will probably sound pretty good given IK's track record.

The same thing has been said about what I am currently using, the guitar tuner pickup: http://www.amazon.com/Tuner-Pickup-SF-20...ith+suction+cup

All I know is that it works fine here for recording.

This unit looks like it is a little more secure that is why I'm looking at it.

PS - if one googles/bings guitar tuner clip on mic pickup you will find a number of similar products for around $15. Unfortunately these products have the cords coming off the top of the unit and that could cause problems when playing.

I think the interesting thing about this mic is the MEMS technology. It would sure beat trying to find the sweet spot with a LDC. I want to try a two channel recording with this little mic and a LDC.
