I am confused: you say:

Exactly WHERE is it that ST's DXi and VSTi do not show up in RB?

Is it in the "VSTi/DXi Synths" pull down? or do you mean it does not show up under either the

"Options-> Preferences -> 6 . MIDI - > MIDI devices -> Default DXi/VSTi synth"
Or
"MIDI Devices" menu item?

If this is where you are looking for it the DXi should show up - but they VSTi will have to be added under the VSTi/DXi Synths menu item (pull down)

Sidebar: regardless of whether Sampletank's DXi, or any DXi, shows up in the " VSTi/DXi Synths " pull down - a VSTi will only show up after you do an "Add VSTi Plugin…" (last item in the pull down menu) and actually go find the VSTi's .dll and add it to the VSTi list.

All DXi's (if installed correctly) will simply just show up. You cannot add them manually like VSTi.

However, if a known good/working DXi is missing from RB's "VSTi/DXi Synths" pull down list you may need to rebuild the list\, within that "VSTi/DXi Synths" pull down window a "Options- > Scan for New DX Plugins…"

OR stop and exit RB. Then go into the RB folder find a file called

"DXiPluginList.ini" and either rename (it will make you feel safer to rename it) or delete it and restart RB it will rebuild that DXi list (the "DXiPluginList.ini" file)
