I know you are supposed to be able to do that, but I haven't tried. I generally just use the default available sounds, and I especially like the solo flute sound (I made a recording where it fooled a choir director who teaches music at the local college, plays in two symphony orchestras, and plays clarinet and flute himself).

If I get some time, I'll take a look at the manual and see. Of course, that would probably be something I would rather do in RealBand, rather than BIAB, since it would involve embedding MIDI information onto the track to tell the SD-2 what to do.
