I just purchased Band in a Box. I have a Dell Latitude laptop, I am running Windows XP SP-3., connected to a Technics SX-PR804 keybaord. One of their upper-end keyboards. My MIDI Input driver is identified simply as USB Audio Device (which works with other music programs)

I am having what I think is a latency problem. I have discovered the Latency adjust button in the Midi/Audio Device dialog. By default, my Latency value was set to 120. I have followed the instrutions to get things to sound at the same time. I have discovered that the 1st and the 5th sound at the same time when I am at about the value of 136. This happens only for a beat or two, however. When I stop it and start latency it again, things sound at the same time, but only for a beat or two. What am I doing wrong?

Also, there is a Time resolution text box with a default value of 1. I suppose an adjustment here might help but I see nothing refering to this in the documentation.

I also see the Synthesizer drop down. Right now it is on General MIDI Instrument Misc. I notice three references to Technics sound cards. Don't know if this is referring to a sound card inside my Technics keyboard, or maybe Technics makes a sound card that goes into a computer. I don't know. At any rate, none of the three Technics references matches my own model number so I have left this set to General MIDI Instrument Misc.

Any help appreciated.
