Please don't construe this as shouting, but...

YOU CAN'T LOAD FORTE AS A VSTI!!!! IT DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY.

It will either be in your list of existing synths or it won't. But you do not select the DLL, because it is a DXi (DirectX Instrument), not a VSTi. They are handled completely differently, even though they accomplish essentially the same thing. And once Forte is installed, DO NOT move any files to a different location. That will definitely keep it from working.

If Forte is properly installed, then it will appear in your drop down list (you may have to rescan the plugins to see it), but you don't use the "Load VST/VSTi" command at all.

Did you try to re-install Forte using "run as administrator"? Did you rescan your plugins (click the options button on the DXi/VSTi screen to access that feature)?
