It would be the biggest (in size) VST ever, by orders of magnitude. But it would be terrific: groundbreaking. One way round this is it could be a kind of BIAB "Client" plugin - with the normal BIAB app acting as a "SERVER". In fact there are many reasons why having a server-client architecture would be useful for pro composers etc.

Band-in-a-Box 2026 Video: AI Stems & Notes - split polyphonic audio into instruments and transcribe
This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
