im still having problems with the new bb daw vst build 611
ive had the same problem since my upgrade in mid december,it cant be a problem with the daws i work with because it happens in the stand alone version
ive checked its the latest update 611 and it is and also the daw is version 1.9.19
heres what i do
open stand alone bb daw as admin
from this point on i
click the select tab in the bb daw then i click the option to select style which opens the bb stylepickker window
i then click "load song demo" this then opens the demo in the bb daw
then i click generate (i have also tried the option to generate individual tracks in the custom drop down)
this all goes ok
i then click select/select real track in the bb daw to add an extra track which opens the real track picker ,pick a track click ok
real track opens in bb daw i click the custom box to generate only the extra real track, i can only find the track in the custom/special track option.
generation of extra track starts and the blue progress bar gets nearly to the end but never actually completes if i try to do anything else like just clicking anywhere, it goes to pot, i get the windows busy circle and i have to use task manager to shut down. ive even left it generating upto half hour.
i have tried this with various styles and various real tracks also tried generating individual tracks, everytime i try to open an extra track it goes to pot.this also happens in mixcraft 8 pro and tracktion t7. bandlab.
i havent seen that this is on the list as a future fix, i honestly dont know if its me. i download the new build i install to all default folders reboot open as admin and all that stuff and run as stand alone ,i dont know what else i can do.
ive tried for help on this before but no solid response, ive tried tech support via support page but still no reply.

win 10...amd a10 radeon r6 4c+6g 1.8ghz
64 bit hp envy
biab 2023 with 1004 build. styles 1 to 429 plus extras 1,2,3,4 and 6.
running as admin,cleaned up returned to factory settings.

I can confirm this happens however I will say it doesn’t always happen.
One work around I have used is to open a second instance of the plugin and add a style that has the track or tracks you want and use those.
I have one song I just completed has one instance of the VSTi with style tracks, one additional track and multiriff tracks, and a second VSTi with Style tracks so far after stewing the solo down I have 8 track generated by BiaB VSTi. Mixed in Studio one and very sweet sounding

Am I correct that the problem does NOT ever happen if you simply select a style or demo song and press Generate?
How about if you start from a blank file, then select an individual RealTracks instrument and generate? Tip: you can right-click on the track and click Generate, rather than using the Custom menu.

How about if you start from a blank file, then select an individual RealTracks instrument and generate? Tip: you can right-click on the track and click Generate, rather than using the Custom menu. andrew yes you are correct, i pick a style to generate and there is no problem. i have started from blank file and tried one individual track before and i have just tried it the way you described (right click generate option) and it still stalls just short of the end. whole styles generate no problem ,its everytime i try to add an extra track or a real track on its own, the extra track always stalls the program and have to get taskmanager involved. ive tried in all my daws and stand alone 32 bit and 64 bit, ive tried quite a few real tracks and all the same. i have tried adding the style and then adding extra track and then generate all,again it generates all the tracks from the style but when it comes to the extra track it stalls. tried it with just a bare C chord in the song sheet, tried with the style/ song demo chords and tried to put just a simple 12 bar progression in. ive rebooted reinstalled checked tutorials several times and still the same. it is always the extra track.

Mixed in Studio one and very sweet sounding thanks for input rob but as temp solution i just use the drag drop feature in bb and just keep using extra tracks from there .
