installation was problem free for me. Yet I now have an ugly deep sound that starts at the second click in the precount and stays during play (then not so noticable because all other tracks play too). Oviously it is happening, if my default synth is Halion Sonic 3.0. Switching it back an forth with Coyote the buzz starting int the precount vanishes. Also when I make KORG M1 as a default synth (not a GM synth though) I happen to hear only the real drums track but without buzzing in the precount.
The sound comes independent of the file I am playing (standard MGU).
Could be an event, that triggers this behaviour?
Happy for your advice.
Kind regards Stefan

Users have reported an issue with single sustained MIDI notes using BIAB 64-bit. It sounds like this is what you might be experiencing. I don't know if this problem has yet been solved. If it hasn't, it will be in the near future for sure. In the meantime, stopping playback and then pressing F12 (this is Panic! mode) usually gets rid of the sustain (in the sort term).
This problem does not arise with the 32-bit version of the program. It's because of this that, at the moment, when I'm using MIDI or notating melody, I use the 32-bit version of 2019. Unfortunately, the 32-bit version of the software will not run 64-bit plugins unless jBridge is installed on the computer. When I run the 32-bit software, I usually use Cakewalk TTS-1 as my VSTi/DXi soft synth.
If you are not aware of how to access the 32-bit version of the software, close BIAB and go to the \bb folder. Within that folder you'll find a file called BBW.EXE (this is the 32-bit version). Right-click on this, select "Run as administrator" and click OK when Windows asks for permission.
Quote:
I have shortcuts setup for both versions on my computer. I've also set both shortcuts to "Run as administrator" by right-clicking on the shortcut, selecting "Properties" and then setting the option under the "Compatibility" tab.
it´s not a continous sound/buzzing. At least I don´t hear it once the song started. And it´s also a buzz with changing height of tones. Strange.....
If I set preferences not to allow for play of Lead-in bars there is no disturbing sound also with Halion Sonic as VST synth. Only with Countin metronome settings playing leadin counts the issue arises?!
I made another test. I actiovated the "Allow Lead-in Bars" and pressed the F12 function key as soon as the sound came up in the lead-in at count 2. F12 stopped the sound just to occur again on beat 3 and the same happened after F12 on beat 4.
Just for the development team to consider....
For my situation it is bearable as I am only playing around with the programm, trying to get to grips with it´s possibilities now.
But I am happy to have things running smooth and stable.
Best regards Stefan

Pinknoise? a sample from some GM synth continuing, as you say at a second bar etc.
Sideliner PS: guess the sky is the limit when you say 'buzz'.
Seen a few in the past LoL: Audio interference from a lamp on an USB soundbox? An flyby insect caught in a PC fan, or a case with a loose screw ...
Continuous to me could mean some audio interference; did you change anything inside your Computer?
Speaker- or flaky audio wiring too close to a power line, TL tubes close; a power-supply can also break down causing trouble, internal ones or even if you use an external audio interface ...
You are right fiddler. Buzz is kind of esoteric description. I tried to record it with a voice recorder app on the smartphone - but the sound was not captured by the app?!
What would be the best way to record it directly from biab onto the computer. Hardware wise I should be equippet to do it.
Any suggestions?
Kind regards Stefan

The two organ chords during count in? Did you try loading another style, same song? Still there? Can you see which track it is in the mixer window? Did you ERASE al data from that track to see if it gone? De activate count in to see if it's gone ... ?
I can see the vibes in the mixer are playing the unusefull stuff in the precount. Even if I mute the track it plays into precount. Switching precount off - no sounds in precount obviously. Also switching ASIO device from UR22 to ASIO4All - no effect.
See screenshot.
Playing around with midi options does not reap results either.
Thanks for mor ideas.
Cheers Stefan
