I purchased 2010 Ultra-pak today. Thanks to the folks on here for answering and asking pertinent questions. If you are still undecided, I have decided to post my thoughts to you:

1) Are "real" sounds important to you?
2) Are you comfortable in the audio realm?
3) Do you already own other audio stretching software or DAWS with this capability (Melodyne, Sonar, etc)?
4) Are you willing to learn a new way of song construction?
5) Do you want to improve upon previous versions construction capabilities?
6) Are you into song composing?
7) Do you wish you had a band to play with, but don't?
8) Do you compose in the rock, pop or country genres?
9) Are you ready to lighten up on midi synths, and supplement with audio tracks?
10) Are you willing to wait a few months until the software is bug free?

If you answer YES to these, then get your order in to save money.

To me, the most important things are 2, 3, 4 and 10.

If you are open minded toward new methods, and are willing to learn a new way outside of midi, then you are halfway there. Software like this takes time and effort to master.

But most importantly, accept that there may be a few bumps in the road in the early going with software and patches. That's why you get a good price.

As I learn the new software, I will post some demos I have done with it. I hope more will share their foray into this brave new world.

From 2004 to 2010...go Cow go!!!
