User replaceable parts are a strong plus. On the flip side I'd be reluctant to pursue a 2 in 1 system that makes keyboard keys touch the table. Doesn't this add a certain wear on the keyboard? An i5 Surface Pro is fanless - as is e.g. the Spectre Folio - and provides way enough oomph for a full fledged BiaB installation. There are plenty of alternatives around these days, though. Band-in-a-Box 2026 Video: AI Stems & Notes - split polyphonic audio into instruments and transcribe
This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
