Thanks Dave!

I suspected it wasn't legitimate, which is why I asked before responding or even visiting their website.

How did they get my e-mail and qualify me?

I don't know.

I have a website for my duo http://www.s-cats.com but the mail-to address is not clickable and not the same as the one they mailed to - they used my personal e-mail address

I have had very minor success with GigSalad (one or two gigs per year) but they also use my Sophisticats e-mail.

I have about 500 people on my Sophisticats e-mail list, and about 2 dozen are agents, party planners, and they use my Sophisticats address too, but plenty, especially entertainment purchasers often use my personal e-mail, so perhaps one of them got hacked.

If I get too many more, I can go to my e-mail account at my web host and put a block on their domain.

Danny: I've had so many people wanting free samples of my styles for a positive review in their book or other publication. About 95% have been duds when I checked them out. It's worth it to check. I did get a nice review for my styles in Electronic Musician Magazine with a recommendation to buy them, and I was included in a multimedia textbook that is used in dozens of schools (that got me teacher accounts).
