Melodyne allows you to manipulate audio and move notes around, but as far asI can tell you can't play it like a keyboard. It is not an audio sequencer, it is an editor. I see what you mean, but that would be a very difficult undertaking. I doubt anyone would want to try to incorporate that into an already very complex program. I know we want everything we can dream up. But really you already have this, it is called a keyboard. There are also many sound modules on the market based on samples.

Band-in-a-Box 2026 Video: AI Stems & Notes - split polyphonic audio into instruments and transcribe
This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
