Happy BB user here.
In my ears it sounds a bit like a midi metronome
Im just waiting for the B part to open up the snare.
Is it just me, and does anybody has an advise how to put some more" wood/metal" into that sound?

I might be unfair to the rimshot sound, calling it a metronome, but this is an example.
As soon as the snare comes in it sounds much more real to me.
Memo: Even 16ths jazz funk RealStyle with drums, electric bass, electric piano, and two electric guitars. The bass is syncopated, piano plays chords and tasty fills.

When you mentioned metronome, I had originally presumed you were referring to the count-in. Now knowing what the style is and listening to it, yes, the rim-shot (side-stick) lacks the same realism as the snare hit.
There is also a lot of reverb on the drum kit which affects the rim-shot, and I don't think that helps.
Try setting the reverb on the drums track to about 6 and see if that improves the rim shot sound. No guarantees...

The raw audio file has no reverb added beyond the natural sound of the room the drums were recorded in.
The raw audio file is divided into four sections, snare with high-hat, snare with ride cymbal, rim shot with high hat and rim shot with ride cymbal. The rim shot sounds pretty "woody" to me in both rim shot segments.
I'm not sure where the reverb you're hearing originates. You may be able to soften the rim shot by adding a compressor to the track. First adjust the threshold so the compressor limits the rim shot but doesn't affect the high hat. Then start with a fast attack and lengthen the attack time until the rim shot sounds more to your liking. The longer the attack the more the beginning of the rim shot is inhibited.
