Well, it was definitely worth a try John. I'd forgotten which midi file had been loaded when this particular problem arose, so I just loaded another midi that was known to be 3/4. This file was actually detected by BiaB as 3/4 which seems to confirm the wizard does detect the time signature. Having checked this out I then looked in the folder where i had been yesterday and found the file. I loaded this one and it detected this song as 4/4, just as it did yesterday. I tried your suggestion of re-opening the new style in StyleMaker and set the Waltz setting and saved it, but no change to time signature.
