jonel,

I'm wondering if what you're hearing and seeing may be an issue involving the song style having a mixture of RealTracks or audio while other tracks have midi or SuperMidi tracks?

Press Ctrl + E to open the Preferences window and then press "d" on your computer keyboard or select the MIDI Driver button to open the MIDI/Audio Drivers Setup dialog window.

Select the Latency Adjust ... button.

If you previously selected a DXi or VST soft synth as your Band-in-a-Box midi sound module then you will see a pop up windows stating that since you have a soft synth no adjustment is needed. BUT ...

If you're using the default Windows GS Wavetable sound module you will need to adjust the MIDI sound module output so it matches the audio output and you will see the dialog window below.

Follow the instructions given in the adjustment window.
