Thanks for those kind words, James.
I grew up listening to Elgar, Holst and Ketèlbey, and most of the popular music I was exposed to had well-defined melodies and a lyric quality. Some of may have rubbed off.
Waltzing Through A Dream was my first attempt at composition with counter-melodies (instead of simple harmonies) and it seems to have worked quite well.
