Hey Peeps,

I saw someone somewhere extolling the praises of Midi Guitar by Jam Origin recently. I have it and cannot say enough good things about it. I also have Midi Bass.

Dovetailing a convo on orchestral libraries: I have been doing a lot of symphonic stuff lately and using my libraries. To play strings, there is NO WAY ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH I could get the phrasing and articulations, soul, energy, and dynamics out of my strings on a keyboard like I am getting using Midi Bass and Midi Guitar. It is phenomenal. I am using an Ibanez Jazz Bass to trigger bass and cello and I can literally hear (or feel like I hear) the strings breathing, sighing and moaning like real instruments, even with simple tools like Cakewalk's SI String session.

Guitarists I am telling you, if you do midi libraries you have to check out midi guitar and midi bass. Just sayin'.

Anyone else doing this?

I might do some demos sometime to show you what I am talking about.

(As an added bonus, I like to turn it on when I am jamming so I can come back the next day and go...."hey that riff, what the heck was I doing??? Oh yeah. I see it. I was doing that.")
