Let me clarify, many users are running Cakewalk on the pre release version of Windows 11, most are not having issues. I think most issues are people who are using on board audio and not using dedicated hardware and ASIO drivers. Again this is based on forum posts etc.
As with anything else, the pre release version is not the final release, but they are using the most current version. I think it is usually best to wait for the companies that make the software you are using to actually come out and say, yes or no and then provide an update if the answer it no, before you upgrade. Microsoft is not going to force it on you just yet, just like Windows 10.
