I can take this with me.
The velocity issue is not a big deal in that case. FWIW, I would really struggle without velocity sensitivity, not so much from playing, though that matters to me, but more because everything sounds the same all the time and I very rapidly get bored with the sound. I have a lightweight 49-key MIDI controller keyboard, that's also easy to carry around. I plug into my notepad PC and listen on headphones. Sure, I get that. But, keep in mind...this is just to be able to take a "piano" along on a trip. Something to kill a little time, not a quality performance. It does not require any outside power. Or external speakers. Or an additional device (laptop). Folded, it's about the size of a shoe box.
