At The Christmas Ball Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays everybody! Here’s a remake (all new BiaB tracks) of a Public Domain tune we posted seven years ago. We moved it from a light blues rock vibe to something a bit jazzy … if you discount the country piano  Originally recorded by Bessie Smith almost 100 years ago it was attributed to Fred Longshaw (and others); however, unfortunately there is no bio and scant information regarding Mr. Longshaw. Having listened to these early blues folks for years we suspect there’s perhaps a bit more to the lyric than immediately meets the ear (Lyric on Soundcloud) Thanks for listening!
