How many people play in this shindig of yours? One thing to remember is that once you stick those IEMs in you won't even hear the floor wedges. Also remember that to use IEMs, you need a lot of aux busses to send the mix to separate transmitters so everybody gets only what they want. I bought a lower end Galaxy Audio transmitter/receiver rig (it works well to about 12-15 feet - then I get dropouts) and spent about $160 on having form fitting earpieces made by WAVS Audio. They fit so well I literally couldn't hear an elephant (or maybe it was a really fat girl) charging. They are so good I listen through them at home sometimes! Standard ear buds that don't really seal will work in that kinda sorta okay way and in your application they'd do fine for you. I bought my WAVS when I was still actually playing and earning money. And you can order them just by doing scans of your ears with a phone and sending the pictures. No fittings required. They will give you one redo if they mess them up but mine fit perfectly on the first try.

I have no idea where you are. Do you snowbird in Florida or the Southwest? Because if you are in Florida, maybe you can stay there and time your departure to attend Herbstock the last weekend in April. It's held about an hour east of Raleigh NC.
