I had to smile when I listened to this. I am old enough to remember when this song first came out. Every so often, I play some of these songs on guitar. Kansas City Star, for example.

Kris Kristofferson wrote "Me And Bobby McGee," but Roger covered it also. Perhaps Janis Joplin's cover was more popular, but I liked Roger's cover also.

All this reminded me of things that happened a long time ago. Janis was someone I knew from Beaumont, Texas, when I stayed at my grandmother's house in Vidor, Texas.

Roger is from Fort Worth, Texas. I never met him. There have been a lot of famous musicians from Texas.
