I'm using _REGROCK.STY, but the bass is so quiet in the mix. I've bumped it up in the mixer to far above the rest of the instruments, but still barely hear it, soloed or otherwise.
Band-in-a-Box® for Windows Version 2025 (1125e) 64 bit application RealBand 2025 (1) Windows 10 Pro 64-bit Intel Core i7 4800MQ @ 2.70GHz Haswell 22nm Technology 16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 798MHz (11-11-11-28)
I suggest putting a good compressor with a make up gain slider or knob. Most compressors even out the mix, and that in general lowers the overall volume slightly. Having a make up gain post fader with allow you to raise the volume without adding more compression.
A lot has to do with what the tracks are for. If you are mixing to stay in BiaB to play there or if moving to a DAW the fix can be done there more efficiently.
You also may open the audio edit window and see if you can raise the gain on the bass track there.
Just floating some ideas out there.
HP Win 11 12 gig ram, Mac mini with 16 gig of ram, BiaB 2025, Realband, Reaper 7, Harrison Mixbus 9 32c , Melodyne 5 editor, Presonus Audiobox 1818VSL, Presonus control app.
I agree it is low, even when boosted in the BIAB mixer to max. I suppose it could be adjusted in the DAW, but honestly the tone is already to boomy for my tastes. Can you just replace it?
I loaded _REGROK.STY which includes RealTrack #1153 electric bass. Each note seemed to slightly fluctuate around -3db.
When encountering a RealTrack that needs volume adjustment you can utilize Band-in-a-Box's Select whole waveform, normalize and amplify functions to correct the gain issue.
That's a great idea to use the Audio Editor. I must be getting slow in my old age. It never occurred to me to do that even though I've been playing around with the Editor quite a bit recently. I also really like your idea of using the Editor to show the volume. When I checked the playback level of my generation, it agrees with you about the swinging to and fro around -3dB.

Turn everything else down.

The idea has merit. More scientifically, what would be the recommended adjustment levels that you suggest should be used?
BIAB & RB2025 Win.(Audiophile), Sonar Platinum, Cakewalk by Bandlab, Izotope Prod.Bundle, Roland RD-1000, Synthogy Ivory, Kontakt, Focusrite 18i20, KetronSD2, NS40M Monitors, Pioneer Active Monitors, AKG K271 Studio H'phones
Well done Jim - as usual the answer is there somewhere although the workaround I suggested works for me when I generate RTs in RB after leaving BIAB and add extra tracks that need a boost.

Bob, I'm not saying your suggestion has no merit; all the suggestions given so far will work.
My thought is you're already in Band-in-a-Box so why not use the tools available in Band-in-a-Box. The longer you stay in Band-in-a-Box the longer you can have the flexibility that Band-in-a-Box offers.
Also, by staying in Band-in-a-Box you save the time it takes to open another program, export a file or anything else you might need to do to edit an audio file originally created in Band-in-a-Box.
If this style indeed has a level problem that you can fix by audio editing, you should send an email to support@pgmusic.com and let them know. They can fix the levels and put it out in the next patch so everyone can benefit. This has happened before.
BIAB 2025 Win Audiophile. Software: Studio One 7 Pro, Swam horns, Acoustica-7, Notion 6, Song Master Pro, Win 11 Home. Hardware: Intel i9, 32 Gb; Roland Integra-7, Presonus 192 & Faderport 8, Royer 121, Adam Sub8 & Neumann 120 monitors.
No problem Jim, if anyone knows how to make BIAB do what they want it's you. I just mentioned my workaround because some of us do the first pass in BIAB then move to a DAW. Your point about staying in BIAB is well taken though for those that prefer it.
