Love the cheer you keep in the experience. We had an egg lady who came around with a horse and wagon, the junk man with a rickety old pickup, and the mailcarrier was more like the pony express. Excellent lyrics!! Really enjoyable listen, Alan.

Hey Marty!

Indeed, those long winter nights - often at or below zero - were pretty danged cold! And our three-holer was quite a distance from the house.

Loved your comments about your times growing up. BTW, where did you grow up? Are you originally from PA? We, too, had an egg lady. We usually bought half a case. I'd bet money that most of the folks here under fifty years old have no idea how many eggs were in a case.

And I sure do appreciate all that kindness you heaped on to my song - put a big smile on my face!

Wishing you and yours the very best.

Alan

PS: Still reading your book (yeah, slowly - but you know all the reasons I don't have as much time as I would like). I ran across some interesting things as I've been reading along. I'll keep at it until I'm finished.

Alan
