This song is AWESOME for several reasons: it's a true story, historical, well produced (loved the use of the fiddle breaks), and your voice and phrasing fit this genre perfectly. Could you enlighten me on what 'the path' was?
Dewey Hi Dewey. It's always great to hear from you. Man, I'll take "AWESOIME" any day of the week! Thank you so much. Reference "the path": In today's world, folks might say something like, "We bought a new house last month. It has five rooms and a bath." Back in the day (I grew up in the forties and fifties), many country folks didn't have an indoor toilet - they had an outhouse. Due to the repetitive use, a path would appear from the house to the outhouse. Thus, in this case, six rooms and a path. (path, rather than a bath). And thanks again for the kind words. Take care.
