People aren't ignoring your question, but VST's can be so system specific... hard to tell what will or will not work on your system. Amplitude has worked here, as has freeamp. They had some known issues with the freeamp plugin going to sleep, but claim to have fixed these with the 3.1 release... there are a few different versions out there, 1 thru 4, and any one may work better than another on your system. http://rekkerd.org/fretted-synth/The Helian bass amp can do quite a bit for some bass tracks and is found on that site also. CrunchDude preamp works well here for certain things... Too many to name them all actually. Some plugins like like guitar rig have some timing issues in PGProducts when trying to sync to song tempo for delay, etc.
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome
