Nice work.

Hi Dan and Peter,

Well, I certainly had Long Road out of Eden in mind when I started developing this song and I wanted to do something similar for the intro, so great ears!

Thanks, guys!

Dave & Marty,
Sad reason, but what a great tune! Really well composed. Vocals A+ suits song very well. That was one hell of a solo! Marty is a perfect match - bass sounds great!
Thank you for sharing,
Misha.

P.S. Hope that this bully finds peace within. We had a similar situation, but after his wife died, he became much softer. Still, no neighbor wants to be nice to him after things he did / say. That what they get. Loneliness.

Yes, this kind of a sad and bad dream can be harsh reality for many, well written "evil remains, just has a different name".

The mix is the top element here: the drums sound really powerful, the vocals are nicely upfront so that the emotion in the words gets through. The piano and the steel guitar are used wisely. Dave's guitar and Marty's bass are always so enjoyable, the delicious spices of every gourmet dinner Blue Attitude cooks for us earthworms.

Great, atmospheric song about a sad subject.
As I wrote on YouTube, a great combination of Pink Floyd-esque guitar and Chris Rea vocals.
Well done from you guys!

Sad but good song and I love and envy your lead guitar work. Solos, brief or long, is what I feel is missing in a lot of otherwise excellent songs that get posted here.

Yes, just when you think things have gotten better, these morons come crawling out of the woodwork.

This is a departure from your usual style, but you do it well. I'm in awe of your guitar work. You give the song exactly what it needs. Solid bass line by Marty.

Hi Dave,

Quality Stuff!

Good song, excellent backing, Top "Chris Rea type vocals - a very good thing" and Superb Guitar work.

Plus - excellent light and shade throughout the song - Nigel and all other forum members take note!

Only suggestion - a few of the top vocal notes could benefit from some work.

Loved it!

Best Regards
Nigel

Great lyrics, mean neighbors can be a PITA.
Marty's bass is solid as always.
FWIW I think the vocal could be a tad louder.
Super song.

Thanks, Mario!

It’s sad that there are situations that result in a song like this being created.
However you have powerfully shone the light on such prejudice, Dave.

Your playing and singing are full of emotion and the video just adds to the effect of the sad lyric.
This line stands out:
“Life was good, or so it seemed
then things changed, like a bad, bad dream”

Marty’s bass as always provides the perfect low end bed. Really nice.

We hope your friend’s situation gets turned around and soon.

Well done in all aspects.

Cool vocal Dave. I see Vic picked up on the Chris Rea vibe. I get this as well. Loved the whammy bar on the guitar on the right. Really cool mix. Super vocal. Marty's bass adds so much to the groove. Guitar break was excellent. Tone and runs were perfect for the feel of the song. Well done

Hi Dave and Marty

I heard your song on YT some time before.
But it is good also tell you in the forum you made a very good song (with the help of Marty...)
And think about it: you may have had a bad dream, but the bright side is that your singing was great!
