A simple, upbeat instrumental with tin whistle and tenor sax solos. For once I upped the gain on the tin whistle for the SoundCloud link as in the YT it's just too low.

Loved that organ part.
The tin whistle and the sax sound great!
Super use of RTs.
Great mix.

Very inventive and upbeat. I'm going to have to try an instrumental someday - yours is inspiring.

WaoBand:

Really sweet instrumental . . . soft, smooth opening the picks up and builds nicely. The pedal steel drives the song behind the scene and the tin whistle lead is lovely. I have a mixed reaction to the sax, but I'm not sure why--maybe simply because its quite a contrast from the tin whistle . . . .but it's compelling the more it goes and my ears adjust to it . . . so as I say, a mixed take on it. Regardless, well done production. Kudos!

Oh, yeah, WAO does it again. Chay, I really like the way write. Excellent choice of instruments, too. Cool how the tin whistle surfs through the air so free. Cool sax solo. DId you have to do a lot to make it that way --like regeneration? Excellent organ being the clouds.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Chay, really nice tune, and nicely arranged and produced (as always). The sax sounds good to me, but may be a bit too far in front compared to the other instruments. I found it a little jarring, but that may be the point.

There may be a back story to the video images that I don't know, but I could not connect them with what I was hearing. I can see little figures in the lotus position that seem to indicate a spiritual or maybe mystical context. But then the bikinis and surfboards threw me off of that.

Well, I spent more time on negative-ish feedback than positive. Sorry! But I really enjoyed this tune, as I've enjoyed all of your stuff. It's all expertly crafted and challenging in a good way. THANKS for sharing!

Brad, Deej, Marty & Ron, thanks for listening and responding.
Marty: I just used the instrument samples as they were, no tweaking, though it takes me hours or even days getting the right samples.

Deej & Ron: only after uploading the video did I find that the tin whistle is too low in gain, so I upped it by 1db for the SoundCloud post, so on the video while it seems like the sax comes in just too loud it's really the tin whistle that's too low.

Ron: for the video I originally collected a series of Creative Commons drone footage, but besides most such footage being way too short I've found it hard finding enough clips of good enough quality, so as some of the footage was too low flying or not brilliant quality I abandoned the idea. Instead I just used images from my original "Deya Flows" video (not the "V3: Transitions" or "V4: Dance Care Love"), which is primarily an image video with a non-intrusive soundtrack. Deya, the character in the video as is, is from a 'spiritual' sci-fi novel I wrote, the name meaning 'Goddess' and she's actually Deya the Deya of Deya. As Deya/Goddess is her personal name, the title of the leader of a super-advanced alien species and also the name of their planet which is always lead (rather than ruled) by the most consciously evolved person on the planet. To me she represents the Divine Feminine, but I only used the video images this time around as other than some spaceship images they're the only flying ones I have.

Hi Wao,

This is really cool! Innovative and ear-catchy. The organ is perfect - as is the tin whistle. Everything does its part quite nicely. Catchy, excitingly calm (I know, oxymoron - I've been called that, minus the oxy part), but that's how the feeling came to me as I listened.

Really nice! Much enjoyed!

Alan

Thanks, Alan. I like the sound of "excitingly calm". I'm more prone to tautologies than to oxymorons as I sometimes say the same thing twice, sort of repeating myself differently but repetitively.
Isn't 'oxymoron' a cumbersome word. Rhetorical. Imagine it in a song.

I went to a particle party with Babu Music's Marty
We met an indeterminate boron
Danced the walls and not the floor on
He said he was stone cold sober drunk
He was definitely an oxymoron.

That is an outstanding use of BiaB tracks.

The whistle was great and the organ was a fine addition as was the sax.

It reminded us of a while back when we stood on a mountain and watched hang gliders in the valley.

Nice supportive vid also.

Enjoyed it!

Nice instrumental - good mix of instruments, moves along nicely.

I agree with DC Ron that the sax is a bit too much in front.

Hey Wao,

This was most enjoyable.

The mix was really well done and the song overall is very uplifting and relaxing at the same time.
Very smooth.

You're getting really good at choosing and mixing these real tracks.

That intro caught my attention. And then the bass came in (cool) and it all just took off. Good production with the arrangement of instruments and soloists.

Really well done instrumental. I like the way it builds, held my attention throughout the piece. Love the tin whistle!
