Who can even think about all these features? Have they gone bonkers or are these guys the best programers of DAW software alive?

I don't actually use Reaper, but, hey, I can see a ton of improvements in the Change Log items. That'll keep the customers coming back for more, no question.

Take Markers are New! You can click on each take or segment of an individual take and add a smiley face if you like it. Or click again and add 2 or 3 simily faces if you really like it. Or add a frown if you don't like it. Or you can add text to say "this is the keeper", or "this sucks". I will let you know when I use this new feature how it works out. grin

Looks like I am not the only one asking this question. Here is Reaper Through the years, since 2005! Fact is, this video helped me appreciate where we have been and where we are going with Reaper. So I think this is actually Genius!

Alejandro, who created this video, is a great Reaper resource. Not quite Kenny Gioia yet, but a terrific contributor. Check out his Reapertips website.

Reapertips

His Reaper theme is called, what for it, Reapertips! It's the theme I've been using for some time now. It's based on the default Reaper v6 theme. He was been waiting for the released of the v7 Theme Adjuster to move his theme to the v7 default. It's donationware, free is you so choose. I tried it, and then went back and donated. Save the email you get with the link to the download. That's how you get his updates without having to go through the request (not purchase) dialog every time.

Dan.

good stuff...i was an early adopter at v0.99 and always suggesting features to the dev wih lots of other early adopters. i suffered some slings n arrows in big studios i was
useing at the time for daring to suggest reaps was gonna go big.
still got the arrow marks in my rear end....lmao.
frankly although reaps is great ive stayed at v2 cos its all i need....and its the kiss concept.
and i often suggest to new users needing less of a learning cycle to start with v2 and get yer chops down with that.

haveing said above i still love realband cos it does things i havent seen in any other daw. so the combo i use is bb/rb/reaps to do songs.

happiness.

om

This is such an excellent point!

I truly appreciate all of the BIAB tips, tricks and workarounds that are shared here BUT I wish new features and fixes would be implemented in a way that focuses heavily on improving UX!

There are plenty of examples out there like Reaper and Toontrack stuff. I actually enjoy using these tools!
