It's hard for me to believe that it was about 10 years ago that I posted my first song here for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. Well, that puts us to them just celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. Time truly does fly.

I'm posting it here, in the, I'll call "off-showcase" part of the forum for a few reasons.
1-I wanted to share it with you all as you've been so helpful to me over the years in writing, and even more so mixing. I'm not sure I'll ever get mixing down; so I think I may be a lifer here.

2-I used very little BIAB in the actual final; but used it a lot to figure out many of the components and elements of the song. AI was used a good amount in the final song due to just needing to get it done. (There's a long story behind why it got a bit rushed.) The short version is as of a week ago I had 2 lines that were at best ideas. It wasn't the chorus either. It was the "60 seconds in a minute, sixty minutes in an hour." So...not much to go on. I basically have about 10 hours into this from, completely writing all of the lyrics myself unaided, figuring out song structure, instrumentation, creating the music and vocal, scanning in the picture, and learning capcut to put the video together...lyrics are NOT fun to put into a video. It was easier with that AI but still needed A LOT of work.
So, 10 hours later, this is the result. It is what it is.

3-The last few weeks I assigned myself the challenge of learning a bit more about how to write classic country to 90's country. When you hear it, it will be obvious that I have a long way to go to make something that is a crossover between the two. Those where their favorite era's of country music; so I had a go at it. I did also try to keep in a little more modern sounding with other elements so it didn't sound too dated. I'm not sure how I did for anyone else; but they liked it! Mission accomplished as far as I'm concerned.

Anyway, the lyrics are in the lyric video itself. Go figure. lol

Feel free to comment if you would like to, but for this song, I'm not looking to change anything at this point. It is done for the most part, and I'm ok with that. It did what it was supposed; which was honor my parents. I feel really good about that.

All These Years
