< I'm becoming aware of MultiStyles, but there is very little information about it. Not a lot of styles with multis, >

Actually, there are lots of MultiStyles when midi MultiStyles are included. I have more than 11,400 Styles and 1,016 display as MultiStyles when I filter the StylePicker for them. (To display your MultiStyles, Clear the StylePicker, and enter the + sign in the Filter String or use the PG Music video suggestions)

Here is a PG Music YouTube MultiStyle Link to a PG Music video on YouTube showing how to search for MultiStyles and the comments have a link to another PG Music video about Part Markers, including MultiStyles.

Any Style can be made into a MultiStyle and there are two types of MultiStyles; Per song and permanent MultiStyles the same as the pre-made MultiStyles by PG Music.

You can manually make a temporary, song specific, MultiStyle from Bar Settings (F5) at any measure by selecting Style Changes at This Bar near the top of the page.

Any Style can be made into a MultiStyle by right clicking on a existing Part Marker or placing a new Part Marker at any measure and right clicking to select c/d..

Select define c/d to open a window to assign new Part Markers, up to 24 substyles. The StylePicker will open and select a Style to include in your custom MultiStyle for the song project you have open.

To create your own MultiStyle that can be used on any project. Open Help (Ctrl F1) and enter the keyword MultiStyles and follow the easy instructions.

< Seems like a lot of functionality there that could use some documentation and/or tutorials. >

Not really. There's enough information in my answer and the related PG Music videos to know how to construct and use MultiStyles.

The functionality of MultiStyles in interconnected and intertwined with other BIAB features that used together encompass and assemble a professional grade arrangement tool.

I asked ChatGPT to name three essentials for a producer to create original quality music.

1. Quality equipment: BIAB for this MultiStyle discussion
2. Musical knowledge
3. Creativity and vision

As you can see, knowing how to construct and use MultiStyles is something BIAB can do. The other two you have to provide. It takes Imagination and knowledge. A tutorial would show one way out of thousands of ways.

Here's a simple example that took less than a minute to construct and all the information needed to create this SGU file is included in the above PG Music videos:.

* Select a 4 subset MultiStyle. I used PMODGR+.STY
This is a backing track MultiStyle with no Soloists.
This MultiStyle changes every 8 bars.

* Load the Demo and set the Choruses to 1

* Select a RealTrack Medley that changes every 8 bars.

I used RT 1328 - Guit, Mandolin, Banjo, Fiddle

The result is BIAB plays 8 bars of a backing track Style with no Soloist. The added RealTrack plays a soloist instrument for 8 bars.

The song plays 4 different styles with 4 different soloists changing every 8 bars.

Impossible to achieve in less than a minute with any DAW. The playback is seamless between changes.

This demonstration was done with PG Music pre-made MultiStyles and Medleys but you can also create your own custom versions to replicate this example.

In the Mixer, each track has a 10-track Medley sub-mixer with pan and volume settings that can be programed to play simultaneously or consecutively in various configurations. The RealTracks Medley Maker is located in the RealTracks Picker - Medley Button

The programming possibilities are innumerable and subject only to your imagination and creativity.

For instance, the above MultiStyle demonstration is easily modified to change every two, four, eight, 16 or 32 bars, or with every Part Marker. It can even be modified to have two soloists playing against each other and having one or more solo instrument changing out.

The Song Form Tool, Artist Performance Track, RealDrums, Loops, UserTracks, Audio Edit Window, midi/SuperMidi, Bar Settings, Song Settings, Melodist and Soloist are some of the other intertwined and connected features to work with MultiStyles.
