I'm in the middle of moving BIAB to a new laptop and for reasons I won't go into, have elected not to retain the install files.
Due to some issues with internet bandwidth (I live on a yacht), I cannot "download and install all", so I've tried to do it in a few sessions, with the latest version of the Install manager.
But each time I open Install Manager, it thinks I need to download every single file again.
Short of using Message 1.0 (pen and paper), is there any way to keep the install manager synced if not retaining the files?

I think Message 1.0 is going to be your best option. Make a note of everything that has been downloaded and installed, and then just keep going sequentially through the list.
Is there any reason that you cannot change your status and save the downloaded files after they have been installed? Perhaps to a removable drive of a USB thumb drive(s) or similar.

Message 1.0 may be the best option, though Help->"What Add-Ons do I have" may help.
Jazz relative beginner, starting at a much older age than was helpful.

Hi -
If the Install Manager is set to the same Band-in-a-Box install folders, I *would* expect it to keep track of what you have installed, even between sessions, regardless if whether you are downloading files individually. If that's not what you are experience is, start a Live chat, refer to this forum post and we can get the log file from you to see what's happening.

I *would* expect it to keep track of what you have installed, even between sessions,... Hmm, so it does. I was sure it didn't because I've struggled before with downloading and installing thigs where "I'm sure I've done this before". Certainly in 2024 and presumably 2025 both the standalone and built-in installers do know things have been installed. I can't say if my memory of that was faulty, or it's been improved, but it looks good now.
