background - I have BIAB Pro 2024 on a Win 7 laptop - works fine
I upgraded to BIAB Ultra-Pak 2025 and found that the 64 bit DAW VST3 plugin causes this error when scanned by my Daw
'The procedure entry point GetSystemMetricsForDpi could not be located int the dynamic link library USER32.dll.'
The Ultra-Pak version of the plugin is 15,321 kb
The 2024 Pro version is 11,433 kb
I put the 2024 Pro version of the plugin into the Programs\Common\VST3 folder and it seems to work correctly
with Ultra-Pak 2025
Has anyone had a similar problem with BIAB DAW VST3 plugin (15,321 kb) on Windows 7 64 bit ?

I put the 2024 Pro version of the plugin into the Programs\Common\VST3 folder and it seems to work correctly
with Ultra-Pak 2025 That should not be possible.

Windows 7 has been dead for years now i am not surprised it is fighting back.
HP Win 11 12 gig ram, Mac mini with 16 gig of ram, BiaB 2025, Realband, Reaper 7, Harrison Mixbus 9 32c , Melodyne 5 editor, Presonus Audiobox 1818VSL, Presonus control app.

" when scanned by my Daw" It might help them test this if you name the DAW. The older Plugin will work but it has not got the direct play of the 2025. You can try and use the 2025 VST inside Element in the DAW, just enable EXT in the top left. You can drag n drop VST/VST3 into Element.

Yes - the Daw is Reaper ver 7.xx and I just installed and tested on another laptop (Toshiba Qosmio x505) Win 64 Home Premium-
The DAW VST3 plugin from BIAB Pro 2024 does indeed work with BIAB Ultra-Pak 2025 - at least for what I tested:
Loaded a MGU from the Demo's folder into the plugin then successfully xfer'd all tracks using ctrl/shift drag master track.
So in my humble opinion WINDOWS 7 LIVES
Anyway I'm not even sure anybody else had the problem - but it seems the call made by the new version of the plugin does not support Win 7 64 bit

I have Win10 and Reaper is fine loading it. The only thing to do is try with Element or you can use the script Working In Biab & Reaper Simultaneously and Instantly to instantly transfer Biab tracks to Reaper without waiting to render to wav. Other users here told me that Biab users don't use Reaper.

Thanks for your input -
I guess my point is that for Win 7 users that get the error message 'The procedure entry point GetSystemMetricsForDpi could not be located int the dynamic link library USER32.dll'
with the newer DAW VST plugin -and this could be for a number of reasons - drivers, hardware etc. there is an alternative by using the older version of the plugin.
