Hi Jimi-Garcia,

Go into "Options | Preferences" and then select "Notation". Now set the split point to C6 (it is normally set to C4). If you do that, the notation won't change into treble cleft until it is higher than the B above middle C. You can also adjust the number of ledger lines here if you need to. Try it first without adjusting them.

To enter the notes above Middle C, you will need to click on the correct pitch in the treble clef. That is, note-entry is achieved by clicking on the treble clef but the display will be ledger lines above the bass clef. (See the image below)
