Hi all,
Here's a folk waltz.

https://soundcloud.com/christian-devienne/the-chimeras-hunter

Since he's empty-handed
The chimeras hunter
Is being in despair
He expected better
He’s fed up with routine
As if all was boring
He mostly feeds on dreams
Even if they're fleeting

Will he finally find
A benevolent muse
Who will excite his mind
That would be such good news

Indeed he’s so harmless
The chimeras hunter
His only weapon is
His lunar character
Will he finally find
A benevolent muse
Who will excite his mind
That would be such good news

Music was excellent, very pleasing. Not sure about your intention with the lyric..in English, the syllable emphasis was incorrect…did you originally write the lyric in another language? However, I really liked the instrumentation.

Hi Tano Music,
Yes, at first I've written the lyrics in french.
The title is " Le chasseur de chimères ".
I think there's a big difference between french and english place of lyrics on the melody.
In french, you can place any syllable where you want. You can even cut a word putting the beginning at the end of a line and putting the end of this word on the beginning of the the next line. There is total freedom.
I think that in english, it's not the case!

Chris, excellent work.
I much prefer the French version, is flows better and the vocal is much better IMHO.

Chris, listened to the French version and it sounds quite nice. The acoustic arrangement has a lot of interesting little instrumental and harmonic twists, and the vocalist does a great job in an oh-so-French way. Can't imagine how hard it is to produce lyrics in another language. Know I'd mess up French big time. From my perspective, it's perfectly ok (and maybe preferable) to post songs in whatever language you are most comfortable in. Enjoyed your tune!

Thanks Mario and DC Ron,
I prefer good real voices to synthesized voices.
But synthesized voices are useful when you don't know any singer.
I know I don't master english language but I've tried....

Cool waltz feel, Chris. I really like that resonator. That one mando sounds a little like a banjo and you used the whole band so well together. Excellent use of the wonderful musicians and a fine mix.

Enjoy whatever happens!
