No idea what this genre is. It started in my mind as some sort of pop, soft rock, country. Then it sounded, to me, a bit soulful. In the end I just ran with the flow and stopped overthinking it. Adhereing to genre boundaries only constricts creativity, and you show so well what can be done when we break out of those restrictions. This is so good, Vic. Love that guitar work. Your vocal seems different. Or is it me? The harmony, of course, is superb. But your lead vocal is clearer or something. Did you do something different? Different mic, or different FX? I'd say it sounds better because in many ways that may be true, but as you know I ALWAYS enjoy your vocal. Good write. Maybe you're singing that chorus to your new mic. "It's better with you."

It's a nice blend of folk-rock, modern country, classic -rock, singer songwriter! It's hard to fit into a single category!
Nice use of realtracks! Also liked the little stops inserted!
Good job on the vocals! Catchy chorus that stays with you for a while!

Hey Vic,
Yeah I really love this too. Love the whole swing and vibe of it, and hookiness of it all.
It reminds me of some great band from the 60s, or 70s maybe, like Dylan ,meets CSNY, meets the Band, meets CCR. Something like that, but a hit for sure.

Vic, super tune! Cool universal truth and a catchy melody. What else is there?? Nifty BiaB arrangement. Particularly like your use of a soloist for fills and the oohs at the end. It's all perfectly supportive, cleanly mixed and sounds great. Well done (again)!

Re the vocal: as I mentioned in my last couple of songs, the new DAW was giving me a fairly steep learning curve. At first, I was over loading on the new fangled effects chain like a kid in a sweet shop. I think I am winning the battle, slowly.
I’m using the same mike I have used for the last 15 years.

Another really excellent VA song, mix and production. The guitar solo is nicely paced and harmony vocals work really well.

Then it gives you a list of genres to pick from but none of them apply.
Then there's the "Custom" category which asks for the sub genre.

Very radio friendly song, sounds like a good song to listen to while on the road, and the message fits this image of returning home. Positive lyrics with good insights and catchy pop melody.
