Sher took her last breath at 5:30 this morning. From both of us, thank you for all the kindness and support you've directed our way over the past several years as she fought on. I'll be forever grateful, as she was until the end..

Thanks, everyone. Your thoughts and comments mean a lot. The prayers and good wishes that were offered have made a difference.
I'm doing reasonably good, I think. This big ole four-bedroom, three-bath house seems a lot bigger without her. But it was the house of her dreams. We had it custom-built to her wishes. I kept my mouth shut and let her pick out everything she wanted, just the way she wanted it. For the record, she had impeccable taste.

I've only become aware of Di's death in the last minute or so.
You are there, were there and have been with Di through more battles than a Roman Legion and through each you found positives to lighten the load, to help raise both your heads in hope.
Your muse is still with you in ever memory and every moment.

Many thanks to each and every one of you who left all those encouraging and supportive comments. It truly makes a difference. I wish i had time to go back and leave a personal reply to everyone, but that probably won't happen as I just don't have that much time. But please know I've read each of them, more than once, and I truly appreciate you folks. But know that every comment gave me strength and determination. What a community we have here! Also, tomorrow I'm going to post a link on this thread to a music video featuring Di. I lost not only my precious wife, but our dog, Lucy, also passed in February. She was the last thing our oldest son gave to Di before he passed three months later. She was very special. They're both in the video. The two most precious and gorgeous ladies in my life - together on one video. Again, I offer sincere appreciation for your kindness during this difficult time. Oh Alan,
I am so sorry. Di was such a sweet, wonderful woman. God bless and comfort you. I know you are still in shock right now. When the grief gets too bad you can find help and support from others who know what you're going through at a local church or online with a Griefshare.org group. It's once a week group grief counselling for 13 weeks. All you pay for is the workbook.
