A Weekend Fiesta

It is a Fiesta weekend and many soloists and bands are playing. One band moved away from tradition and mixed the old with the new. Will they be accepted? Only you can be the judge of that.

The drums, rhythm guitar, electric guitar, and EP are RTs from the BiaB style Pop String Quartet.
The tempo is 85 BPM

I am playing my nylon string guitar and via my breath and keyboard controllers the Swam trumpets.

Back in my day the only time we started panic buying was when the bartender shouted "last call"!

64 bit Win 10 Pro, the latest BiaB/RB, Roland Octa-Capture audio interface, a ton of software/hardware

Mario,

The nylon sounds terrific. A gentle touch, well recorded. Chops.
Cool trumpets. Those controllers serve you well (and you them).

Nice mix. And a nice mix. (see what I did there?)

Very enjoyable listen.
Accepted.

Mario,

I really enjoyed this with a morning coffee! It's a really lovely piece! That nylon string sound makes me realize how much I need an acoustic nylon string guitar! When I end up buying one and my wife gets mad, I'll send her your way for explanations! Your contributions on this are fabulous!

Thanks, TB

Calming, gentle, introspective..I especially enjoyed the (i think) multiple trumpet tracks, adding depth and some randomness.. very nice!

Beautiful and creative...

Your guitar in combination with the other instruments is magic.

Mario, wow, your nylon playing sounds great! Tasteful lines with a cool tone--doesn't get better than that. Love the backing track and the changes. Your trumpets are a nice touch of color. Ole!

That is such a lovely restful composition. It’s been years since I’ve played nylon strings, I’d forgotten how nice they sound, and they certainly deserve their place in this song. I don’t have a nylon string guitar at all anymore….good reason for another purchase maybe! Nicely played sir, really enjoyed it.

Muchas gracias

Mario,

You always excel with these gentle ballads. That nylon guitar is pure magic.

I like the simplicity of the arrangement and the precision of the mix.

Very, very nicely done!

Alan

Thanx Floyd, I'm glad that you liked it. The nylon string guitar is a very cheap $79 USD Valencia I have strung with folk guitar strings. I have a cheap $10 USD piezo pickup on it and I record straight into my DAW. I also like the sound of it.

Thanx so much Torrey. The nylon string guitar is a very cheap $79 USD Valencia I have strung with folk guitar strings. I have a cheap $10 USD piezo pickup on it and I record straight into my DAW. I see now that guitar is $127 USD on Amazon, but that still isn't a bad price IMHO. YMMV
