Hi Dave, Chris and Marty
What a nice song. A bit a soft Blues, but I like the flow of this song.
The vocals were (as always) very good. Especially in the chorusses where that 'trying' gets more and more intense and with more vocals.
Man, I love that!
To my ears the lead guitar was a bit modest (soft) in volume. After that cried-out chorus I would have turned up that volume! But I fear your will answer that is why you always ask me to turn my lead guitars down a bit...

Hans Hi Hans, As far as the volume on the guitar goes, to a certain extent it's a matter of personal taste I guess. For me the volume fits the mood of the song  Thanks for the listen and comments, very much appreciated! "I gave you the key to my back door, the one I never opened up before Falling in love can brave a heart" There's but two of us but we have three hats to tip and the first goes to Chris for what we consider to be one of her best lyrics along with the fine vocal and piano. The next two (all are equal tips ) go to those guys who played the stunningly good instrumental performances! And what a surprise with the BGV's - a great idea and well done. Nobody dislikes cliches more than us but what the heck ... this is stadium epic. Love it! J&B PS Our multiple listens were on RN. You quoted my absolute favorite line of the song I agree, one of her best. And thanks for the great comments! I always pass them along to Chris, her reply to this one was: " Thank you Dave for sharing and send my love to J&B, so many beautiful souls out there" P.S. thanks for checking out the video also

Nice to hear a song from you that is closer to pop than blues. Very catchy, especially vocals and those background vocals are just amazing, highlighting the great melody. I enjoyed the video too, so nice to see the faces behind the song and the band of course. Great playing, excellent mix, heartwarming lyrics, this is one of the biggest hits of this year in my ears.
