Thanks for the comebacks... My DAW of choice has always been Cakewalk by Bandlab. I've been using Cakewalk since version 3 by Twelve Tones System. (am I REALLY that old???) It's had it's quirks now and then over the years but for the most part it has worked for me. I've played around with Reaper a bit here and there - I even paid the $60 for the license. I figured that these guys are working hard to keep a great piece of software always improved. I chalk up not using it is because I'm jus

Make sure to see the One Chord Song topic in this part of the forum. It reminded me of various challenges that fellow songwriters have suggested in songwriting challenges I participated in. These usually take one of a few forms, usually involving something more complex that what might be typical. Now and then the opposite type of suggestion is put forth. Put restrictions on your writing. One I took on was to use the minimum number of notes to suggest chords. Two notes at a time. When I hea

I was reminded, a couple of days ago during a Guy Michelmore video, that counter point can be as simple and effective as a bass filling the gap between melodic phrases of the lead voice/instrument with something interesting.

Reaper and BIAB-VST have been behaving themselves these days. So, no, I have not seen that issue recently.

Bobby, Try to eliminate Reaper from equation, by running a plugin as a "standalone" program and try playing back your file.

Greetings all... I used BIAB to make a song today. When I play the song in BIAB everything is as it should be. However, my problem started when I brought the song into my DAW - Cakewalk By Bandlab - with the PG Music plugin. The song stops playing at around 3 bars too early... no warning, it just cuts out. This is also happening the same way in Reaper. This leaves me to believe that the problem is with the plugin. Has anyone else encountered this problem? I should say that before I did

WOW! This has killer vocals, a spot on timely lyric and the band to go with them. As others have mentioned this has a Springsteen feel to it and those drums are just awesome. There are few accolades to add after reading all the preceding responses. Dittos to them all. Your use of BiaB tracks has always been a showcase on the showcase and this is no exception. And, but assuredly not last, THAT MIX. Zero mud, every track has it's place on the soundstage but w/o sounding isolated. Magic. Y

Hi Charlie Hope this straightens the question marks. << Had a part over a couple of bars that was good, so I did a freeze of the whole track. >> My understanding is you are only freezing a single track in order to retain and use a couple of bars located on that track. Exactly << Then I tried to have it resting for the other bars in the chord settings dialogue, as you normally can with unfrozen tracks. >> "have it resting" I assume "it resting" means

As we have both received three jabs of mRNA it was not even necessary to turn on the sound system to listen. The chip implanted in our brains took care of it all. Your strong vocals well delivered the witty lyric. Witty and hitting home. As always you called in a great band and well augmented it with the cool horn arrangement. Maha set up a nice soundstage with the mix. Well done and best to you both! J&B

You have the Jukebox that you can choose a folder with the songs with the play order number in front of the file name. The Next & Previous don't have a HotKey so you could use AutoHotkey.com to create ones and have you foot pedal trigger them and the spacebar for play/stop. If you are interested let me know and I will give more details. Else just render the songs to mp3 or video if you want the chord sheet.
