That's hilarious! We have an African Grey Parrot here, and she can whistle a nice tune, but nothin' like this guy! (she also yells her name at random times... "Ba-ba-looooo!") -Callie

Thanks guys, a rather impressive piece of software. I wrapped up my project today and was very pleased with the final results. I sent to producer a mix of four tracks: A vocal track ripped by SMP from a UTube vid, A combined drum and bass mix audio track from a forum member, and two VSTi tracks (Piano and Organ). SMP was a great in helping me bring this all together. I got the tempo map from Melodyn but then found SMP would do it just as well, if not easier.

This is a cover of one of my favorite love songs, 'Creep' by Radiohead. It's my first cover ever. Link: Creep I've wanted to cover this song for a long time, but my voice isn't up to the task (being a baritone I can't sing that high), and I wanted to be sure I can make Solaria sing it well enough to do the original justice. I think the time is right now. Enjoy, and feedback of any kind (the good, the bad and the ugly) is very welcome! As always, a big thank you to Marty for taking the time to listen to the demo and for his words of encouragement. Some technical information: Style: BACH_1.STY The band: Piano: Brain Sebastian Bach + parts from the original piano of this style Guitars: Brainy van Halen Strings: Brain van Beethoven Synths: Brain-Michel Jarre Vocals: Solaria with BG vocals from Cong

Floyd, This is a really touching song. Seems like this includes some of those oldie but goodie real tracks from back in the day. Really well done! I remember when I got Band a box 2014, and I had 32 real tracks, and I thought to myself, man this is incredible, this is all I need, why would a person need more than this, I got everything I need here to write hundreds of killer country songs and ballads and Tom Petty songs. As you've proved here it doesn't take a whole lot to write a great song!!! 🙂 I can't believe it's 2024 already and I'm looking at 10,000 or 11,000 styles!!! Keep going bro!!!

Hans and Marty...really good production, band and performance by you guys...I do find it interesting that the thought would occur to blame the fast food industry for people's obesity problems...that would be like blaming the alcohol producers for drunk driving deaths and alcoholism...not sure anyone wants to do that...maybe McDonalds should just put a label on their products with a warning like the tobacco folks do or put some really small print at the bottom of their advertising warning people not to eat Big Macs and drive like the beer folks do...who knows? cheeky song and video for sure

Great song Floyd. Wonderfully put together with perfect imagery. I sure liked that line "if I lose you there'll be nothing left of me I'm not ready for you to be.... just a memory." As usual, the production is inspirational. Fantastic how it just starts with the guitar and then builds with the drums, cello, steel etcettera. You consistently put out a complete package, it's always a pleasure to see a new post from you, and great I get a chance to be the first to tell you this time! Brad Thanks, Brad. Good to see ya back around. Bill deserves credit for most of the lyric. The rest, I do, but he gives me a hell of a start... Floyd...really nice melody here and the perfect arrangement to showcase it ...love the passion in your vocals and as always a great lyric to sing...I'm always amazed with your productions...you and Bill are a top-notch writing team for sure...just another treat to listen to and learn from...thanks for posting this one! Thanks, Dan. Bill and I did about 25 songs together (in a 3-month period). He'd send a lyric and give me free reign to change anything that needed it (little did). Finding melodies for some one them took some doing, but it was a lot of fun. Hi Floyd, Well written song and very good vocals. I would have liked a few instrumentals to break it up and maybe a stop verse for a bit of light and shade. Definitely worth working on. Best Regards Nigel Thanks, Nigel. Simple and subtle holds a place in my musical vocabulary. Light and shade can be found there if you look. I think there's plenty here.

Perhaps you should make this a feature request to output their blocked chord spellings to SMP to improve workflow. That's actually a very reasonable FR. as I said before, the developer is REALLY open to new ideas and very active, ha has already implemented a good number of suggestions I (and probably other users) gave him, and also quickly fixed many reported bugs, but this is another story... In the meantime, as a workaround you can try the following: - Export the project as MIDI, with all metadata you need (chords as markers, sections, tempo map, etc) as MIDI1.MID - Export the project also as MusicXML. - Import the MusicXML file in Musescore, then use "Realize Chords" command, which will write the imported chords as MIDI notes. Export this as midi file (MIDI2.MID) - Import MIDI1.MID in Reaper in track 1, this should load the tempo map and other metadata into the project. - Then, import MIDI2.MID in the same project, in track 2 and load EZKeys (or any other VSTi instrument that read chords) in that track. The VSTi on the second track should follow tempo properly.

HI Riccoboni, This is not possible using the Bar Settings menu. It is possible using Audio Edit. Audio Edit is far more sophisticated than Bar settings and gives much better results. If you go to 51:18 in the below video clip, there is a thorough explanation on "Volume node automation". This will do what you want. Regards, Noel

Hi Janne. I loved it! This is such a bright and bouncy number that my feet were tapping along by bar two. At time, it felt like the groove almost had a reggae feel. I really enjoyed your writing. The lyrics worked for me and the chorus was excellent. Saros and Weina were an inspired combination. They sounded excellent together. You really are getting the hang of Synth V's vocaloids. I'm envious All the best, --Noel Thanks Noel for your pleasant words No need to be envious, you have already done amazing things with Synth V in a very short time Janne

Sad story sung with very emotional vocal. "Driving by feel/One hand on the wheel" effective image. The band sounds excellent, the cello especially works nicely with your voice, the background guitar and the percussion track add nice haunting effect. Janne

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
