When chord are transferred from audiochord wizard, the playback starts unsynchronized. Playback is sometimes one bar or several bars off the audio.
I know that "count in" options may be adjusted, but BIAB should start playback synchronized by adding space to the beginning audio if needed, right.

Hi BGP,
When one uses ACW and sets bar 1, that is what BIAB will interpret as bar 1. Any audio that occurs before what is set as bar 1, is not defined as "bars". Because of this, I suspect that BIAB has no idea how to interpret such a beginning region and will only be concerned with bar 1. When you return to BIAB, do you use a tempo map?
Regards, Noel

Following Count-In options leads to unsyncronized one bar behind.
[Count-In Options] [x] Allow Lead-in Bars [x] Play lead in even if intro present [x] Audible Lead-in [x] Lead-in drum count if drum muted/disabled
However such setting should NOT affect the final playback with audio.

Hello,
When I test the Audio Chord Wizard, regardless of the count-in settings my song starts at the correct time. I would assume that your beat/tempo map is incorrect. As Noel asked, when you return to BIAB, do you use a tempo map?
If everything seems to be as it should be including the start of bar 1 and tempo map, what version and build of Band in a Box are you using (click Help > About Band in a box to find this information)?
Thanks, Will

I typically set bar one, and then tap the tempo for a while.
FYI, there's a lot of music out there that doesn't really hold a tight tempo throughout the song. The chording from the wizard on such songs is so much more accurate if you tap the down beat of each measure throughout the length of the song... Try to be a hair behind the downbeat... otherwise, you'll get leading chromatics where you shouldn't. This will keep the chords aligned with the track, should you choose to keep it attached.
After getting through a number of these imports, you'll really notice artists that use click tracks when they record. Obviously, less edits are required on those import.

Does the original audio file perhaps contain its own recorded Countin?
Does this happen for all songs, some songs or just one song?
Have you tried the Return to Factory Settings?

Without a tempo map it will not work. The whole display of chords relies on it.
Turn on the metronome and it will all make sense; the chords will go with the tempo set by the metronome.
Make your sound your own! .. I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

My test song has BIAB type accurate and loud drum beat. So, Chord Wizard can identify the tempo correctly.
However, there is a certain programming issue here because
without count-in options your are one bar ahead with count-in options you are one bar behind
BIAB with no tempo map workaround is 1. set no count-in options and 2. delete first bar from notation display
and you are fully syncronized.
The issue is how BIAB uses internally count-in options in playback. I guess that programmer can tell you the reason.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
